Farcry Primal crash on startup

There's not a whole lot to explain. It simply crashes right when I start it up. Hell, it doesn't even get to the title screen... or anything at all. It brings up the small "loading game" image or whatever and then just... closes out. Like, nothing happens. On steam it'll say I'm playing it and five seconds later it'll go back as if I'm playing nothing.
I can't even take screenshots or provide much more information since there's not much to work with. I'm going out on a limb here but I think it seems that there may be missing files... But I updated everything multiple times, did the whole "Verify Integrity of Game Cache", and even reinstalled the game from scratch, and yet none of it's worked so far. Tried running UPlay in offline mode too, nadda. I've searched google for answers but found nothing that has worked, or is coherent.

PC stats just in case anyone asks.

close all backround applicationds

and launch both steam as well as Up;lay as run as ADMIN

if you have multiple screens connected disconnct all but one ..till you get the game to fully launch

once you have done so please configure your screen settings if you use ,ore then 1 via the in game settings

also check your driver settings within your Nvidia control panel and verufy each screen = working

Same problem exactly for me, some time ago.

As soon as I updated my Nvidia drivers, the game ran perfectly. It had nothing to do with either Steam, Uplay or the game's files.

Try that out and see what happens. Just check it, and download drectly from the Nvidia site, not the installed application. I trusted the app and it did not register the latest update correctly.

Updated NVidia drivers, already tried running both steam and uplay in administrator mode, already closed all background applications too. I'll try disconnecting all screens I've got, haven't tried that yet, I have multiple monitors

nvidia driver is new from june 8th 382.53 nividia
i run quad core windows 10 Titan X video card.

i tried to run as administrator. steam and ubi launcher

still the game won't start.

any other suggestion?

forgot. have only 1 monitor.

also i did try rainbow six and division . and both start and run smoothly even in 4 k resolution and give me 30 fps in 4 k with all details to the max

so what is wrong with far cry primal ???

loads for a minute . then says synchornise...than close . then little window again with logo of the game but then it suddenly disappear and the game did not start


any ubisoft developer reading this thread ???

When looking at your steam library, right click on Far Cry Primal then click properties. When in the properties menu, click on the local files tab, when on that select "Verify file integrity." This worked for me for another game, not sure if it will work for you.

sure will try. thank you. i do suspect its an issue with the ubisoft launcher .
its just very frustrating that any other game start without issues and with ubisoft its my second game.
far cry 4 did not run on windows 10 . as i just found out few days ago. bought far cry 4 on a special price months ago and now cannot even get a refund

now yesterday decided to try far cry primal . and i have this nightmare of trying and trying again

and ubisoft developer are nowhere to be found ..

turn off your antivirus and try launching it

I got mine working by changing the primary monitor for the game. Aw yea.

glad you found your fix sir ..no this game does not support low res screens you need one that can do at least 720 P

and if it detects multiple displays .. it seems to have a problem with that .. or unsupported resolutions .. you can find out the supported resolutions here

same for me . feel like i tried everything.
running administrator.
added all ubisoft file to firewall
i do have a 28 inch . 4 k monitor . might be the issue. soon i am giving up
