Did I insinuate that it was? I was asking what options there were to diversify the weapon and ammo load-out as has been part of FC franchise since FC1.
Didn't need to be a d o u c h e
Yeah, I could see your POV about that, but I personally loved the arcadish style of that exact loadout. FC4 taking out armored convoys with RPG+GL+sidearm-GL+LMG is a force to be reckoned with :)
Thank you for this. I might buy it and play once I get FC4 out of the way. Currently 38hrs in and still haven't gone to the northern part of the map. I sat down and looked at a couple gameplay videos and thought taking over animals was kind of neat.
Also, you can send your pets to attack enemies from a distance. You have wide range of tamed animals – jaguar is really stealthy, sabretooth is fast and deadly, cave bear is even deadlier and can absorb a lot of damage.
Also, you have an owl that you use in some sort of warg mode (you see through its eyes and have full control over it while hiding in a distance). You can send your pets through owl, you can make your owl to kill enemies from above and drop bombs on them (last 2 options are disabled in survival mode).

Also, read "Weapons" and "Stealth" chapters of this guide:

Very cool stuff.
I like that they took a mechanic out (weapons, scopes, etc) but added functionality to replace it and make it fun and interesting.
I will definitely be keeping it on my wishlist.
the weapons are still deadly enough, especially once fully upgraded. a thrown spear can usually one-shot most enemies and all but the largest animals. also there are three types of "grenades" that didn't get mentioned: bees, gas and fire.
as an aside, i'd suggest playing in survival mode, with permadeath off, just to get the maximum immersion (unless you like starting over from the beginning).
