Got on steam, asked to enter CD key... How do I find CD key?

How do I find the CD key that steam issues to me?

Right click on the game in your library. Game key should be listed there.

Any chance you could be more specific. I right clicked on the game in my library, and a menu popped up, no CD keys found... And area they might be located?

If you look at the right side of the screen on steam you'll see the word ''Links'' written in blue, then below it there are links written such as community hub, support, CD Key, when you see the CD Key just click on it and enjoy your code.

This is a phenomenally common issue with many people buying the game directly through steam and never being able to play. I tried everything. In the end I was able to return the game and get it directly through uplay.

ake sure you uninstall the version of Uplay that steam installs with the game

then go to the Uplay web page and down load and install the latest version of Uplay
here https://uplay.ubi.com/

this game is a yr old and the version of Uplay that steam installs with the game files is old and out dated

your game should then auto activate and link your steam and Uplay account

others had the same issue ever since the steam Summer sale of 2016 .. when steam changed the way they handle uplay activations .. and no longer provide a key

I finally contacted uplay support and they asked for a screenshot of my steam receipt, and then they authenticated the game themselves.

You May not have to uninstall Uplay, this fixed it for me.

1.Turn off steam and Uplay
2.Run Uplay as Admin
3.Run steam as Admin
4.Start far cry, it wont ask for the key
