Do you find "heavy" enemies fun?
I for one don't. I don't get why developers insist on putting enemies into these games that can eat an entire face full of led, or in this case a quiver of arrows before dying. You want to make it more challenging? Make enemies smarter, better shots, more. It's just annoying having to stand there and unload on one guy for a minute just to get him down.

I'd find it way more fun to have to figure out how to take down 10 non heman enemies.

Considering the regular enemies aren't even remotely a threat it makes sense why the heavies are pretty much a necessary evil. I'm not sure about the regular game but in survival mode, enemies go down with one arrow

There are so many ways to increase difficulty of a situation than simply giving said enemy super health. That gimmic may work in some games, but in a game that is other wise very realistic it just breaks the feel of the game.

Nothing says "real" like someone with 20 arrows to their face that somehow isn't impaired in anyway.

Use a shard and break their armour, it's not hard...

Um, are you attacking them from the front or something? Because they're so easy to kill if you stealth snipe-shot them with arrows or have the ability to sneak up behind and take them down in one hit.

Actually you're not specific enough...

If you mean heavy infantry or armoured units, simply break the armour with shards, u can even get lucky and one shot them (and their armour) with a shard.

If you mean Guardians, they are mini-bosses (eg: those bigger guys that pound fire onto the ground). They are cake and mostly useful; simply use a beserker shard on them or throw some spears into their face. You can also spend skill points and get the skill that lets u one shot them with the "Takedown" ability.

These gameplay mechanics are all realised simply by reading tooltips...

My experience is only fron Survival Mode: Hard.

Not sure why I reply to a whiner that doesn't understand the game through arrogance, but hopefully this helps u and others who need a hand up.

Learn "Heavy Takedown" and just jump onto them.
Of course it can sometimes be very tricky, as if you don't get the height to perform a jump takedown.

If they aren't aware, you can of course also perform a stealth takedown.

I dont' mind heavy enemies, as they're covered in bone and other armor so it should be harder to take them down. And two spears usually does it anyways xD or sometimes one shard, one take down, or one owl strike

What i hated was Ull =/

I completely agree. I prefer realism (I only play survivor expert) as I like the idea of the player character and enemies all being as weak and vulnerable as each other and it's really how you position yourself and plan ahead that keeps you alive. 12000 years ago armour did exist so these heavies aren't entirely fantastical but they are undoubtably over the top.

i don't like the idea they immune to a headshot. bodyshot kill not so satisfying

This is particularly unrealistic. The most common weapons of the era are heavy spears and weighted clubs both of which go through bone and not to mention the fact that the kinetic energy alone still travels through the "helmet" turning the brain into mush. Even with a modern helmet that is graded against high-velocity rifle ammunition you'll still get a severe concussion if someone slams a 10kg object into your head.

well, think there is a stealth way... i kill every one and finish by the heavy, this gives some constraints. Run kill run is a good way too, and again heavy make some hard time...

Ull was easy.
The battle arena with Batari was much more intense.

I've yet to go after Ull... Batari was annoying, but fairly easy. All you had to do was just get rid of the enemies that kept spawning. I just sicced my Great Scar Bear on the heavies and he took them down no problem.

XD my experience was that Batari was easy....pop my head up, hit her with a spear, duck down, let pets deal with minions, pop up again, and then did a take down on her from above when she left her area

Ull had me spending AGES just throwing spears / shooting arrows, run, shoot, run, dodge minions, pet died, get new pet, pet died, run, shoot. It was maddeningly just a DPs soak with waves of minions from every direction. Was a LOT harder for me than Batari xD
