Has this game enabled any sort of auto-clicking ability?
I like the game but not enough to click the same key a quarter of a million times to get an achievement!
I've never used an auto-clicker before (I'm from the generation who used to have a joypad with autofire and a D connector!), can you tell me...
1. The best (free) software to use.
2. Will it be seen as some sort of hack that Steam could potentially put a VAC ban in place for, or any similar measure.
Thanks!

Thanks for posting this, I was beginning to feel like I was the only one planning to get the achievements minus autoclicker...
Yea bro, get it without cheating, that way, you earn it, and you can talk shi*t to other people who needed an autoclicker. TBH, this achievement is not hard to get, the people who use auto clickers must have such a busy life, but they are short sighted because this achievement is not time comsuming, it takes longer (much longer) to get the 1,000,000 kills.
It goes past just the achievement. Fighting the dragon at level 400, 500 and 600 is hard, and the accomplishment is in itself. I had to click my mouse for 15 minutes straight without missing a click, or else I'm dead.
I heard about a guy getting to level 3200, but he was probably an autoclicker cheater, like OP in this topic.
That's true with the malware Scorcher, it's a shame, it didn't used to be that way.
As this is turning into a debate rather than a Q&A, I'll jump to the auto-clickers defense.
Jerez and Siris, fair play to you for...er...playing fair as it were! If you are happy to get there manually that's great. I'm not for a few reasons...
1. It's grinding for no other reason than to grind, as Siris points out, the game has to be running for longer to get the 1,000,000 kills anyway so there is no good reason for it. Once you've gone past the first 100 or so levels there is no need to click, just top up the characters powers. I am now at level 599 (curse that level 600 dragon!) and I've only click 30,000 times. Clicking another 220,000 times for no good reason? No thanks.
2. Wear and tear on the keyboard and/or mouse. Yes seriously. I have a Logitech G600 mouse, they aren't cheap and I don't fancy wearing it down for the sake of a £2 game.
3. Time. Yes, I am busy. As well as real-life commitments, online I run a game server so Tap Heroes is very much just an amusing background distraction.
4. I really have no desire to "talk **** to other people".
5. This is the most important one...not everyone is as physically able as others. If you have joint problems / arthritis / paralysis etc. etc. then achieving that number of clicks is impossible. I've chatted to a gamer who has to play games using his chin due to paralysis, try asking him to click 250,000 times! Should he be denied a perfect game, even though he may have levelled up and in every respect 'finished' the game?
I like collecting Steam achievements as much as anyone else (well, more than most people really) and I've been a member long enough to remember that achievements used to be able to be triggered (hacked) very easily on the local machine (before they were moved server side). I never did it as I wanted the satisfaction of completing it myself, but I know of many others that did manipulate their Steam achievements, probably the same sort of people who run aim bots in multi-player games.
This achievement however just feels like a waste of time so I've no problem helping it along.
Phew, that ended up being longer than I meant it to be!
I hope my previous post didn't come badly, it certainly wasn't meant in any negative way!
Yes I certainly know what you mean about choosing to play it in the way it was intended, I've been the same in all my games...except for this one!
Well...if I think about it, I suppose I have managed to get some of my achievements by following walkthroughs showing where the hidden collectables are. Just out of curosity, do you do that as well, or is that not a pure way of playing?
Lol, no the achievements aren't Nobel prizes, but the badges...oh the badges...that's another matter! ;) I've recently started badge collecting and have gone from rank 13 to 41 in about three weeks...badge collecting is a game in itself I've found. I quite like having an emote for every occasion as well...but I know it's not everyone's cup of
Can't please everyone can you?
Hee hee. XD
