Some info on the Hidden Ancient Gate

Hello there OrangePascal,

Can you provide me with some info on the Ancient Hidden Gate, as which floor is it supposed to appear and how to unlock it? Is it the gate that is behind the Strange Alien Door? If yes, I'm pretty sure I already took it, yet I didn't unlock the achievement. If no, what is it? That's one of the two achievements I'm missing, with the datacard one (which is pure luck since you can drop the same cards again and again forever, I think I'm missing two but I don't know if I'll ever drop them x))

Somebody else asked this just last week on Discord.. so here's what I found out:

That gate is the "green/brownish" portal with two pillars next to it
But to unlock it you need:

- have it appear before level 12 (usually does)
- be the Captain character, own a bigtime distort and an alien-stone

honestly, I can't remember why I made it THAT hard .. but I must have had my reasons when I made the game all those years ago :D

Oooh, be a Captain is part of the requirements.. That's why I wasn't seeing the door anymore recently. I made several runs to the end hoping the door to appear and was becoming sceptical to the point I made this thread lol I wasn't playing Captain anymore. Glad I asked then, and it might be useful for future players that wonders the same thing.
