Leveling Up?

I will be ploddiing along in 3rd or 4th level and suddenly notice my characters max health is permanently up or damage or range for a particular weapon is permanently improved... Why? I suppose it could be from items j have used but unless I am not paying attention the item description does not say it will do that?

I should make notes about things like this... but honestly, I can't remember enough about the games inner-workings after all these years to give a good answer on it :D

You do level up as a character, just can't remember what the stats-logic behind that is, and that will then increase your range/weapon ... but again.. it's been very long since I created this game (it's time for a sequel soon!)

A couple days ago I looked at and put your Hero's of Loot 2 on my Steam wishlist and it is high up on that list.

I think you did answer my basic question which is, do charactor stats level up by advancing to higher game levels? and you affimed .

In case anyone else is interested in this topic, the level ups are in-game and do not carry over when that charactor dies to the next playthru.

Fun game but I do wish there was more info available.
