to run this on windows 10 you need to
1) select compatibility mode and select windows 98/95
2) select "run in 640x480 resolution" . this is important as the game only runs at lower resolutions
3) finally select "run as administrator"
this runs fine then even with your desktop set to 1920x1080 ... hope this helps

Huh... I didn't need to do any of that... Works fine on Win 10 without any messing about.

And you can get the game running at 1920x1080. I used the manual method of editing a file with a hex editor, but there's also a tool that does it for you:

Video is only in 720 because that's all shadowplay will stream in.

Have the same issues with the latest version of Win10. Tried all the different options you mention. Still get the DirectSound error and it won't even launch sadly.

I'm guessing there must be a hardware issue here. I'm on winX and it runs fine without any issues.

My spec is:
intel 15-4460
nvdia gtx960
12gb DDR 3.

Not sure if related, but I also have all that gamebar crap turned off, as I found it caused issues with older games.

huh didn't know about the hex editor also it was working fine as well.

No problems here running it 'out of the box' on Windows 10.
(I did use the RiptoR tool that is mentioned in this thread, but only to add the glorious 1080p support.)
