Soul Collector Achievement?
Any tips on how to get this one? I'm pretty sure that I collected billions of souls by now.

Thanks for the help, although I do not understand how I'm only half way through. Killed so many enemies already.

For End of Times, only when you've captured souls (when you bring enough souls to the demon head statue to earn a 1UP) does it count towards the achievement, not when you just kill an enemy.

Which I did with the vast majority of these souls. Wait, do you mean that 1 life = 1 soul?

End of Times has a mechanic where you can take an enemy soul to the demon head statue. On Normal difficulty, when you take 5 total souls to it, without dying, you will earn a 1UP and you will have captured 5 total souls, each of which will be counted towards your Soul Collector achievement.

I just got this achievment for idling the game for 3 hrs. I havent played a single game, simply let the game open on the title screen. I also unlocked 3 other achivments that way.

Yeah I apologize. There's something definitely wrong with this achievement and regardless of my best attempts, I haven't been able to pinpoint why. Code wise, everything seems to be correct.
