Spoilers - fridge magnets

So it's possible to finish the game without doing anything with the fridge magnets in the chasm at the end. They spell the three phrases spoken by the radio. An inkier heart, etc. Kathy mentions that the point values on them are different from scrabble.

It seemed to me that the letters could be an anagram or word puzzle for something. Any ideas?

They are meant to be the key to the padlock. There's a hint that the answer is NEAR capitlized and underline when investigating it. Looking at the magnets, the numbers values on N E A R in that order unlock the padlock.

Yeah, I got that they reveal the 3215 code. I just wondered if the phrases themselves could be an anagram... something about a sequel, maybe?

what fridge magnets? I just got to the padlock puzzle and had to look up the answer because I assumed the code for" near" would be using the letters designated to the numbers on a phone. This obviously wasn't right. I don't recall seeing any fridge magnets.

Check the back wall of the padded cell on level two. You'll need an item inside the fridge, too.

OMG, lol. For some insantely stupid and funny reason, I never walked around level 2 and therefore never saw the rest of what is on the right side. Der. Think I need more coffee.

I got the answer but for all the wrong reasons. When it said NEAR, I certainly didn't think of the scrabble tiles on the second floor. Thanks for the explanation.

I was a bit frustrated with the padlock code and was randomly picking numbers. Then I remembered the elevator buttons NEAR me and tried that 3, 2, 1. Fortunately the bottom number was already on _ so I fluked it. Ha ha.
