Marble Mayhem: Fragile Ball

Marble Mayhem: Fragile Ball

Who is Hirofumi Hattori?
Hi, I read in the game’s description the following quote:
«Developed exclusively for Windows PC by Japanese game design genius Hirofumi Hattori»

So, I google his name and I can’t found too much information. In Mobygames I see that he was an EXTRA level creator, not the main designer, for a similar Wii game called Equilibrio.

I saw also that he figures as a programmer in Go Go Ackman for Super Famicom, a platformer game that I tend to like, with good production values for a quick manga exploitation game.

But, anyone has more information about Hattori? What other games has he designed in the past? Why is he described as a genius, or some type of legend in the japanese industry?

My doubt is not ironical. The japanese industry is not so well documented. It’s hard to find the credits for a lot of games. And a lot of times, the japanese designers tend to appears in the credits with pseudonyms. As an art historian that has spend a lot of years studying japanese history of videoagmes, I’m really intrigued now with the name of Hirofumi Hattori.

Yeah, I investigate a bit more and I realized that it's only a marketing sales technique. The game came from Bimboosoft, a small Japanese studio that in the past created some low-budget games for Dreamcast. Nothing memorable in their portfolio.

woaaaaaah
I had noticed that this game seemed eerily similar to Equillibrio. Now it all makes sense
