Is my nickname going to be "Freq" in my career?

Because ♥♥♥♥ that, awful ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nickname, I thought well hopefully they will let me change it in my career or something. Just got into my first nba game, and they called me "Freq" I just alt-F4'd out

You can change it when u get to 2nd season. The story is trash, id suggest to just skip through it and play a 2nd year.

Yea i felt extremely dissapointed with it. It was all hype, but in the end you get no choices whatsoever and the "story" is so corny that its laughable. Even the last year MC was better.

the story is a story yeah not a lot of choices but the offdays and sponsers etc are the real makers of MC gives you stuff to shoot for etc I mean honestly what should a basketball pro story be like? I mean cmon if it was crazy stuff constantly happening it be unrealistic most pro ballers live fairly standard lives. The story gives some drama but once your done with the scripted stuff its a fairly strong fun development much like playing any other simulation type game. Do I wish there was more to it maybe like a pro wrestling like story like 2k16 boasts yes I do but the game itself has been out a day has its issues but is still better IMO than last years.

Only worthwhile thing is earning myteam cards from the endorsements in myCareer possibly from what i saw in vids.

the MyCareer storyline is horrible. They could have spent that time and those resources better on other other features for the game. What a waste.

Yes it will be Freq until you complete your 1st Season in the NBA, which is the completion of the Spike Lee Story. Once you are in your 2nd NBA Season, the Spike Lee Story is over, and you get an option in the MyCareer settings to change your nickname to one of the preset names like in NBA 2K15.

Story is pretty awesome, makes it much better than how boring it was past years just goign thru the motions.
