no audio using hdmi

just got a controller today and try to use it to play 2k, but when i used hdmi to connect my tv, there was no audio, just for 2k, other games and videos are good. cannot figure out why

Up for this, sound works fine except when i connect my laptop to my TV with HDMI. But youtube or vlc works fine on hdmi, only 2k doesn't :/

I have the same problem. Solution to this is to start the game in non-fullscreen mode. Either windowed or windowed fullscreen. Restart the game after changing the settings and it will work.

HOWEVER, my problem is that nVidia's Shadowplay doesn't work then, because it cannot record desktop on mobile GPUs. So, if I want to play on TV, I either don't have sound or cannot record it. If I play on my laptop screen, everything works.
