2K broke jumpshots
Is it me or are jumpshots pointless in this game now? I played on Superstar/Simulation at my friend's house and I could see the AI draining fadeaways and stepbacks. That's fair if we can also drain those shots right? Nope. Played with the warriors, used iso moves and made sure that I was open whenever I shot, but that stupid in and out animation cheese kept happening over and over again.
First of all, I am pretty sure it's harder to get consecutive in and outs than actual shots that go in ...
Secondly, whenever I used my stepback moves with Curry and made sure I was open, the AI would just sprint at me everytime, causing my shot to miss terribly. The reason it blows is because the AI can easily drain those shots even when I am running towards it with my hands in the air on Intense-D mode. It's come to the point where I dont even shoot unless I am absolutely sure that there isn't ANY opponent closer than 5 kilometers from me lmao.

People say they fixed the "zig zag" cheese and I am really happy that they did that, but increasing the defensive measures to the point that you shoot bricks no matter what your rating is unless there isn't anyone near the length of 5 Shaquille O'Neal combined together is ludicrious. It makes me laugh because I can drain more 3's with Draymond Green and Iguodala than I can with Curry coming from PERFECTLY placed screens. It's like the ratings don't even matter anymore lol. Having a 95 3pt is basically a 60 rating in this game.

To be honest, I think that 2K is basically sucking the Cavaliers' roster. I can easily win by 20 points with the Cavaliers on Superstar/Simulation (even on HoF) by using Lebron James and dunking with him over and over again. It's come to the point that I rather dunk than shoot open jumpshots coming from screens. To be more precise, I have a 75% avg FG with Lebron James when I dunk with him over and over again and he has over 80 points roflmao.

I am primarily pissed because the Dubs are my favorite team IRL, and it looks like 2K did them dirty as ♥♥♥♥. Either I shoot bricks with Curry even though I am open, or I go for Curry's scoops that end up getting blocked because of the slow release lol.

All I can say is that when I buy this game on PC, the only team I will basically use online is the Cavaliers, and I will proudly use the new cheese techniques that I have discovered unfortunately in order to win. That's sad because I used to enjoy playing with the Warriors. 2K16 is basically a Dunking Simulator if you ask me. There is no way you can win with jumpshots in this game if your team is smart and stay on their man because they will only be able to shoot bricks lol.

It seems to me that the shot meter is a bit off. Late releases seem to miss a lot more than early releases.

I use PG and the max of 3points shoot is just 80+ lol

Indeed. I'm playing My Team these days and have Kyrie Irving, KD, Korver and Dirk and all of them which I believe are shooting masters are keeping missing those wide open shots unless it is a perfect release. I can only attack the rim now and when I faced the NBA all star team you can do nothing inside because you have Marc Gasol and Anthony Davis inside who can simply block or successfully contest every layup.
Yep, 2K managed to rob the game of a whole large piece, which is jump shots and made the AI demonstrate to us how beautiful the game could be if 2K let us play it the way it's supposed to be... :/

he always was better as a slasher to the hoop, wish he'd stop jacking up 3 point bricks in real life

Yes!!!! MyTeam is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥!!!! lol. I have two gold guards that drop the ball every time they dribble. I can't hit open shots to save my life. I have tried everything and every time I get a little close it's like the AI just does things I can't do. Anyone having a problem with defending the post? It's like they will call 3 seconds on you if you stay with your man but if you leave the box to avoid the call the AI goes straight under the basket for an easy lay in and it does not allow you to get back i time. I almost threw my controller seriously like I have never wanted to do that but this needs fixed asap or I feel like 2k robbed me.

Same thing here.. My toughts about Rockets - As always, playing on Allstar difficulty in my gm.. I know that James Harden is the star, but to make dunk with him every attack? And what is wrong about Ariza? No-matter what i try, his jump shoots and not just his behind three line never falls in the net, and I know, there is no issue with the timing - he is completely free, yet doesn´t score?? He scores only, when round under him gets white. So playing 10 minutes quarters and Harden have 50 points, most of them from dunk - 3 games in a row, playing with teams like Golden State and Heat.. Feeling little woried about this years game. Last year gameplay felt much more balanced to me - and I have to repeat myself, the year before was even better balanced. Is it only my feeling? What about other teams, do you feel unbalance there too?

If you dunk more with James Harden than you drill jumpshots, that's when you know 2K ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up xD

I remember that in 2k15 they balanced CPU shots and downgraded 3's skills and hiting rate. Now i play on Superstar and CPU is literally hiting 3's and highly contested 2's with higher ratio than layups in crowd. I like it's harder to make j but smth is @#%^$# up.

Release early or excellent. Late is missing a lot more than early.

Same here. Its impossible take good shots (over C+) with defender in 2 meters around you (with max jumpshot). Always miss even with near perfect timing. But cpu ok, its affect only player. Yesterday in 2k15 i shot 3P 4/5. Now its 1/10 if im lucky.
