Best solution I found for right now. It is working. I tested it and you can customize your keys.
the controls are stop being a cheap ass and spend 10$ for a controller off of amazon. who seriously even wants to play with a keyboard. the only reason is that you don't want to buy a controller.. there is no logical reason to use a keyboard.
Really, kinda off topic, but for me, as I grew up using a keyboard since the very beginning of computers (yeah I am THAT old), they work fine for me. As for the 10 bucks, you really think that is the reason, lol. Let's help eachother with there preference instead of ventilating your opinion, which I respect btw, but not suitable for this thread.
; IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT GETTING STARTED: Lines that start with a
; semicolon, such as this one, are comments. They are not executed.
; This script has a special filename and path because it is automatically
; launched when you run the program directly. Also, any text file whose
; name ends in .ahk is associated with the program, which means that it
; can be launched simply by double-clicking it. You can have as many .ahk
; files as you want, located in any folder. You can also run more than
; one .ahk file simultaneously and each will get its own tray icon.
; Left side is the desired key, right side the original

If you drove a car blindfolded for 30 years and then had a chance to drive it w/o the blindfold which do you think you would do better? You will for 100% certainty drive better w/o the blindfold no matter how long you drove with it on in the past.. It might be a little different at first b/c you will actually be able to see and won't be handicapped anymore. Playing this with a keyboard / controller is very similiar to that.. Sure it might seem a little funny at first if your use to a keyboard, but it's so much more of an effecient way to play the game that in the end you will play it much easier and perform far better..
I have been using keyboards for a very long time and can press any button anywhere on it instantly w/o looking or hesistating even for a split second, but a controller is still 100 times better to play this game.. you should at least try it for a couple days if money is not an issue. you can always return the controller..
You don't even need to play much with one to learn it. you just play a very little bit maybe a couple of games one day then let your brain absorb all of those controls on its own while you sleep and do other things.. the next day play a couple more games and stop.. by the 3rd day you will know them w/o any issues w/ only having put in a couple of hours of actual gameplay
;-)
Why not, I will try it...
Not sure if my 40 year old brain is as fast as yours though.
it's actually really easy this year.. On an xbox controller when you hold Y it makes the nearest payer cut the basket so great on driving and someone is on the corner.. so easy to drive to a side and then just hold Y the guy cuts in to the basket and then you release it for a pass. It's gotta be so hard to do that on a keyboard b/c you have to be moving your guy, doing dribble moves and then hold a button and release it..
Right stick does dribble moves whenever you flick it in any direction and it all makes sense. flick back for behind the back dribble, away from ball hand and back to go between the legs, circle is for a spin..
I have been playing guitar for 20 years and find the easiest way to learn new things like a mentioned before about doing a little at a time and let your brain work on it while you are doing other things or sleeping.. I have had times where I want to learn something that was difficult and trying to do it all at once for a really long time did not make as much progress..
Then I started to just practice it a little bit, but listen to it over and over in my head and think about it, visualize it. I would actually practice it half as much and made twice as much progress. It's like I would just wake up in the morning, go to play and it was all just there coming to me like i knew it.
