How am I suppossed to advance get attribute points to upgrade my player without buying them? I played 1 year of high school, and then 1 game of college so far.

Don't start getting VC til first NBA game. Its dumb, every other rookie starts at 70 something and you have to build up from 50.

That's lame; definitely geared to get people to pay cash.

you silly thing.. you don't actually earn points in this fd up version of mycareer until after you have played a bunch of pointless high school and college games. just wait until the scene when you meet the agent. your going to want to break your damn monitor in anger most likely which how poorly it is handled..

unfortunately you don't start getting any points till the nba which makes no sense at all.

I see during high school/college games one could buy coins or cash.. So do they allow people to upgrade their players using cash in high school/colllege? If that's the case that'd suck. Im enjoying the game though; glad I bought it.

By playing the damn game!
I have not bought any VC and my guy is at 84 right now, it is not very hard to get VC in the game, with all the endorsments and playing other games to.

After the tutorial like High School, College and first short nba year you start to earn a ton of VC.

i like how people think grinding attributes means they have skill

Ya you can upgrade your player if you have the VC even in HS, but it's pointless. Once you get to your 2nd year of NBA you can really start to get a good amount of VC.
As soon as I could on Day 1 I went to MyPark and grinded a lot of VC before the hackers showed up. Then I went back and added it to my dude before college. All it really might change is how easy of a time u have it in college which will determine when you are drafted.

you can upgrade anytime you want, but you will not earn any VC until the NBA. it's an absolutely horrible way to do things and completely unrealistic that you play for 2 years but yet make 0 progress. even though it's super easy to lvl up later it still does not justify this epic mistake. they had a great idea with high school / college, but not earning VC via the games and having no choice in returning / no gm interviews either really make it all 100% pointless. if you really think about what point do those high school / college games serve? after your first NBA year you will always be in the exact same situation no matter how good or bad you play at all.

sounds like so much fun! you play like 20 games over 3 years before you actually get any better unless you spend real $.. someone at 2k has to be straight up retarded to think that makes any sense. great idea, horribly implemented.

"By Playing the game!"

That is what you wrote, what I replied with was answering your question. There is no reason to level up your character during the turorial high school/college games at all, it is very easy. Then once ya get you're first real season its easy as hell to get TONS of VC and be mid to late 80's rating by mid way point of season 2 (the first real true, non tutorial stuff).

It has been very fun!

No you are the one who has no idea what they are talking about. The high school, college and very short first nba seaosn are just a tutorial pretty much. Not horribly implemented at all, it works wonderful.

The high school and college stuff was very very easy, no need ot have your character at a super high rating that early. It took me a few hours to get past that stuff, basically just a tutorial and not hard at all.

Bottomline is it is veyr easy to get VC in this game and after the very short tutorial of high school, college and short nba season you play full season and can get your character upgraded in no time.

You kids need to stop acting so entited, I see all this crying about the most ridicolous things. Who needs a better character during the tutorial stuff? Where you getting beat in high school colege or the few games in season 1/short season? There is no need to have a better player in high school or college, very easy to play well and win those games.

Being at 84 in my first full season is perfectly fine, if anything its to easy to get VC and get to a high rating early on. 84 by year two in the nba sounds fine by me.

>Entitled
>Not wanting to play a game for 25 hours with terrible stats because 2k are greedy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

You didnt "work" to level up your character. It has nothing to do with entitlement.

Even when you get to the NBA you get ~50 Overall regardless of how well you played, and in spite of them comparing you to lebron coming out of college.

They make no excuses for it. They want you to pay for the game, and buy VC, or grind your ♥♥♥♥ off.

Or spend money in myteam.

Why hasn't anybody mentioned online matches? I've gotten 8k VC that way and just jacked my guy up from scratch to about 65, you get 400 VC every match you win/finish and bonuses the higher tiers you play in, also you can't quit or you won't get any VC
