Is this any good?
One of my friends has this for 360 and liked it a lot, is the PC port any good though?

On misson 5 now, this game is AMAZING! Great combat, badass (I can say badass right? Well I'm gonna), badass interactive ninja anime-like scenes. And NON-STOP ACTION! Seriously each mission is around 35-50 minutes long and it has yet to go even 3 minutes without a boss, miniboss, or badass action scene. Haven't even finished the game yet and I already want a sequel (as old as this is). If you have a controller (not required, but recommended) and you have $4 BUY IT NOW!

Yes game works fine on PC. No real glitches or technical problems I have noticed.
After having finally played this game, I have to strongly disagree. The PC port is far from fine. I've experienced issue after issue. Here are a few problems I've experienced with this game:
- Game won't close properly (restart required)
- Skipping cut-scenes causes game to freeze
- Enemies clipping through the environment
- Dialog not playing during cut-scenes
- Spastic weaponry during cut-scenes
- Character models not positioned properly when engaged during in-game quick-time events
- Tapping the button to break walls not responding after about half way (this almost stopped me from being able to progress any further in the game)
- Setting the framerate option to Variable will revert back to 30fps capped next time the game is started

The game wouldn't even work on my computer for months, despite easily meeting the system requirements. To this day, I still don't know what the problem was and From Software never responded to my email asking for assistance. I don't know how the original 360 version compares, but the PC version is definitely not in "fine" from a technical perspective.

(Why does it censor the word spas.tic)?

All the problems you described not pertaining to nesscessarily pc are in the console version lol.

I paid £4 for this game last week and at that price the game is well-worth playing even with its many, many bugs and glitches. It's not for everyone though as the story is absolutely bonkers but the action is unrelentless, utterly unrealistic (but entertaining) and completely over-the-top. This game is also very heavy on quick time events (QTEs) so if you hate those then this game could annoy you, although to be fair the game doesn't punish you for failing them as it will allow you to retry them as many times as needed to complete them. They're no substitute for proper gameplay but Ninja Blade so far is about 50% QTEs/cutscenes and 50% actual hack 'n' slash gameplay in the style of Ninja Gaiden. It's enjoyable but only because it's so damn dumb that I just have to see if what comes next is even more ridiculous (and, so it, is has been!).

Glitches abound though as you'd expect from a From Software game! I've encountered graphics settings not saving properly so it keeps capping to 30 fps (meaning I have to switch to Variable every time I load it to run at 60 fps), missing dialogue only during replayed games sequences, some dodgy collision detection where my character was not swinging off a pole properly (but several feet above it) and a rather nasty bug where it wouldn't save the game at all meaning I lost all my progress on Mission 4 (it would keep telling me that I had not selected a device for saving). Also, the game only saves at the end of each mission and each of those can take 20-30 minutes so if you quit part way through then you have to start it all over again as there are no mid-level checkpoints at all. Oh, and lest I forget the game continually reminds me not to turn off my CONSOLE while it is saving so if you were ever in any doubt that this is a straight console port then that should tell you all you need to know!

I don't think I'd have been too happy to have paid £20-£30 for this game with those kind of issues but for a few quid it's entertaining. The enemy variety and level design are fairly interesting even if the graphics and audio are nothing to shout about.
