The campaign is setup such that you must keep moving forward. If you do reach the end of the 45+ levels, you can replay the entire campaign for more RP / XP.
Also, near term releases will include additional optional deployments that you can play at any time during the campaign.
To summarize - We'll be adding new levels soon. Specifically ones that you can play at any point during the larger campaign and are completely optional.
Quick question on this. Does the difficulty Enemy health damage etc increase as well so its a new game plus mode? or same stats on the second playthrough. Thank yoU!
The game difficulty (say, Normal) does not change, but the monsters' damage, health etc will be higher so you're going to get a much more challenging second go-round.
Permadeath is a setting linked to your difficulty.
There is an ironman mode in which you cannot abort a level ... so any death is a permanent death.
In other higher difficulties, if a Templar dies and you accept the victory (i.e. don't abort) then the death is permanent and you'll be left with a damaged squad.
In lower difficulties, if a Templar is defeated in battle, he/she is restored in the case of victory or abort (i.e. not really dead ever).
I hope that helps :)
In Normal, your Templars are restored after each level (no perma-death). However, if they are defeated during a level, they don't get XP.
