Game Crashes Instantly on Start
Hey, folks. Just got a new PC and reinstalled Templar Battleforce. Unfortunately, the game crashes as soon as I start it up without any real details as to why.

I've tried verifying game files, reinstalling, and video drivers are up to date. Any ideas?

I would suggest restarting your computer but you've already done that haven't you?

@Sparkle Pig - sorry to hear about this. Does a crash reporter window appear that would let you send in the details of the crash?

What Windows OS and graphics card?

Can you verify the prerequisite for the game, sometimes Steam fails to correctly install it --
"Requires MS Visual Studio C++ Runtime 2012 x86"

It must be 2012 and x86 exactly.

Looks like it didn't install MS Visual Studio. I do not have 2012 installed on the PC!

I am not sure why sometimes Steam gets stuck on this. Pretty rare, all things considered.

You can get it here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679

Be sure to get the x86 version.

No go. Still doesn't work. =(

Using Windows 10 and a Radeon RX 580.

@sparkle pig - Do you get any crash reported popup? Does any error popup appear?

Since the game is really pretty small download, would you mind re-downloading after this install of the MS Visual Studio C++ Runtime 2012 x86?

Yes, game asks if I want to send an error report (which I did).

Already redownloaded after the VS update, no change.

@sparkle pig - ah, that's great. Thanks for sending it. I will work with Cory tomorrow to go over the report and post back here what we can see from our end.

Thanks much! I've been itching to play since my old PC died!

@sparkle pig - sorry for the delay on this one. Things got really busy today. With a team of 2, its easy to get behind an eight ball. This is on our radar, and we'll get you an answer as quickly as we can.

No worries, thanks for looking into it.

I figured out the problem! There was a Windows update/Radeon driver conflict that was causing a weird issue. It's all good now! Game is running!
