How do I use the medi kits?

I know you press 'i' to use your items, such as nades, bandages, tnt and MEDIKITS, after I press i key, what am I supposed to press to use the medi kits/bandages and select other items? I've literally pressed all the keys and nothing seems to work

with default keys you press 'i' for inventory then use < & > keys to select and 'x' to use

Sorry for bringing back this thread but I have a problem with playing with a controller. I just bought the game on the summer sale and when I started the campaign, I had no problem using the medic kit...I remember the game telling me how to do it and it worked as advertized but now I just can't use any of them. If I remember correctly at first I was pressing LB and selecting the medic kit but now there is not one button on my controller that work. Pressing LB till brings up the wheel for selection but putting the arrow on the medic kit does nothing. Everything else work fine except that I cannot use any healing kit and this is frustrating.

Anyone can help?
