Should I play Sniper Elite 1 or skip to other entries?

If you ain't afraid of PS2 graphics, then you should give it a go

For it's time and budget quite good. But compare to other titles from 2005 like FEAR or Republic Commando feel last-gen. But certain element still looks good, like rain and wet surfaces, the sky and the whole siege feeling: dogfighting planes, explosion. Also the bullet cam looks very cinematic for it's time! I've found mostly the controls and certain game mechnaics frustrating. You can't jump, invertory system a bit off and I advise you save manuaaly which need confirmation 3-5 times. (the game warn you, if you choose too much and frequent, your score to GameSpy will reduced)
Also, save after finished a mission! Otherwise loose your progress in-game!!!

you should probably go skip to others. i started with SE3 and this feels like a PS1/2 game, which is good for nostalgia or something i guess but you should probably play osomething else first

i started from the first. still dident finished it because its very long. i started the first one on sniper elite level. its an amazing game and i reccomend everyone to start with it because the sniping is easier in this game. the sniping on the later games is harder if you choose realistic balistics.

I think you're better off playing V2. It's based during the same year as 1 and the same part of the war (That being the fall of Berlin). It has better sniping, but for some reason, slightly worse shooting with non-snipers.

I heard this one’s good for a challenge apparently in V2 remaster AI are dumbies yet apparently this one snipers really hide and blow you’re knee cap out from over 150M away
