How do I heal myself?

I picked up a healing thing yet I can't figure out how to use it

The First Aid kit is in your inventory, use "i" key to expose inventory (as opposed to weapons) and scroll until 1st aid kit is displayed then tap "use" key (x) to administer 1st aid

To heal yourself, use your inventory key "i" then scroll through the options using the "," and "." Keys. Use the bandages or medkits according to what you need most using the "x" key
