Can't use cards when I reach the spot?

sometimes if I spam press cards it works but most of the times I can't use cards when I go to the right spot because the even triggers. how can I do it?
I have money to put the card on the field but if the event triggers faster than me (most of the times) I can't use the card :/

this happens in the mode vs bots pls help ;(//

You may have misunderstood the game rules.

There are many cards that require a cost to play, such as money, votes, active permanent cards, etc.

If you have not played the tutorial, please play the tutorial first.
