Are there strategies for lighting the 3 lamps on the challenges or is it mostly luck?

I managed to beat A Training Session in 15 turns, lighting the 3 lamps, but didn't have too much of a strategy going in beyond work with what I have. The challenge after, I'm finding trickier thanks to the starting location and getting screwed by my opening hand.

I want to become a better player and was wondering if there are any specific strategies for beating these challenges other than try again until you eventually succeed through having good luck?

For lots of the 3 lamps challenges, it needs lots of tries, and a non-negligent part of luck :) You can also "exploit" the auto save, by exiting the game before it's your turn to play again.

I bought the game two years ago, and succeed the 100% challenges about 3 or 4 month ago, with several tries all along the time between both, so don't give up !

I lost patience with many of these, but I can tell you that if you just keep trying, you'll get through many without "exploitation". As a bonus, you will learn a lot about different strategies, and the value of being able to switch ~on the fly~ along the way.
