Have you tried the M, S and D keys? Maybe you pressed them by mistake, but they toggle sound on or off (music, sound effects and dialogue, respectively).
Also, the game only runs at 640*480.
The problem lies in an outdated DOS Emulator (ScummVM) that comes with the game.
1. Download the latest ScummVM - http://scummvm.org/?p=downloads
2. Install it
3. Go to the installation folder (for me it is here: C:\Program Files (x86)\ScummVM)
4. Select everything in the folder and copy it to your clipboard
5. Go to your Steam folder where Toonstruck is installed. There you will find the outdated ScummVM folder (for me this is here: C:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Toonstruck\ScummVM)
6. You can backup whatever is in this folder if you want to (optional)
7. Paste and overwrite
Now you can start Toonstruck from Steam and it should have sound.
PS if you want to play the game in full screen mode press ctrl + F5. This will bring up ScummVM settings.
Thanks a bunch! I'll get right on it!
