Arrow Keys VS Controller? + Question

So what do you find easier, Arrow Keys or Controller?

And I see on the Input settings when you lauch. There is a jump, shot, special buttons but they don't do anything when I try them.
Is this happening with anyone else? Or is there something I don't know?
