CTD on exiting Overworld, Undocking from stations.

I'm hitting a series of crashes, but without any predictability in whether or not they will occur.

It happens when exiting Overworld or Undocking from a station, but never (that I can remember) on entering Overworld or docking to a station. Best I can tell, it has something to do with entering the "flying" world.

I'm running with a decent fleet (Hades Frigate for flagship, 9 bonnie fighters, 3 crossbow, 1 shortbow, 4 Little Joys, 1 Cutter, 1 CutterG, 1 Racer, 2 Intrepid corvettes... and I think or or two more sets I'm forgetting (game just crashed, haven't reloaded yet. going strictly off top of head. Also, I capped every ship there save the Hades and the 9 fighters, maybe that's something to do with it?)


Currently in Overworld I have 5 Hermes shuttles, 8 Pluto Miners, and 6 Hercules Traders all running Auto. Currently no bases capped. Been raiding the ships around Jax (sp?) by the Pirate zone for ships to add to my fleet.

If necessary, I can e-mail my save file over to you, and provide system specs. I'm not getting any lag, stutters or glitches besides the crashes.



also, somewhat similar, on attempting the "Ghost" priority mission, I left the mission site because I forgot to update my ship and couldn't beat em. Upon trying to re-enter with my upgraded fighter, I immediately CTD on exiting Overworld into (and near) the mission site.

Yes - a save file would help - also steps on how to reproduce - I'm assuming just randomly toggling overworld ship mode? or?

Also how did you manage to leave the scripted mission area? That shouldn't be possible - hence the crash when you went back.

It may be a day or day, but I will get it to you.

I don't know exactly how I managed to escape it. I've since cancelled the mission. On re-accepting it and telling to return I still ctd.


I'll try to toggle Overworld on/off and for around a bit. Sometimes I can play for an hour or longer with tons of flying/etc without issues. Sometimes I crash in the first 5 minutes after loading up

I think a "bit of a longer" response time is fine considering the normal is around an hour for you, which is gosh-dang amazing from a game dev.

I'm getting this issue as well but I'm noticing it happening if I shift to ship mode as the game auto-saves.

The game should auto save any time you enter shipmode via either undocking or dropping from Overworld. When you load last save, it should be where you intended to drop out at.

Hmm.. not getting this but my version might be a slightly bit different than the current Steam version, will continue to test.

All I did was fly around in the overworld and toggle back into ship mode - in empty space, to gates, to bases, etc. Was this about what you did?

More or less. I was actually able to finish the Ghosts priority missions without CTD on entering the zone, and CTD has been dialed down a bit for me as a whole. I've been turning my computer off each night, so maybe it was a memory thing and my PC needed a refresh? I'll still CTD occassionally, but not at the frequency that I was.
