I just added a mission yesterday-ish to the Pride (combat escort) and will be adding more missions as the week goes.

combat escort can't raise me to rank 7, though, i cant up the difficulty any more to rank up either

Yeah it will get you to 6 - that's the intent. Another mission will be added to get you to 7 and beyond.

I might "rebalance" ranks sooner or later - say if I add some more missions combat escort might get kicked into 5.

yeah i REALLY want it, i've been flying around with a small squad with only pride ships, four pilars and a bunch of ultras, and of course cannon fodder skyhawks and reapers.

I'm going to move the "Clear Asteroid Field" mission to the Bounty Hunters - been thinking of additional missions - and thought that this one really belongs to the BH versus the civilians.

So in the next update that should get you a Eagle :)

Adding missions to civilians is easier than BHs - it seems to moving this one there should work well.

Clear asteroid field and defend platform missions should get you to rank 7.

Some missions don't always appear - for example clear asteroid field only appears if there is an asteroid field with enough pirates to be cleared. Defend platform only appears if there are platforms to be defended...

I'm working on adding more auto generated missions to create a bigger pool of missions in some cases.

Which turret gun? If you are talking about the initial mission...

Hint hint - there's no need to face any turret guns

Amazing game. Really enjoying it!! Good job man. I wish you every success with this venture and I will definately support the project.

I also can't get past Rank 5 with my boys, The Pride. I just purchased my fully maxed out Eagle and boy oh boy am I loving it! With the money I'm making on bounties it won't be long b4 I can buy the Drake, but there are no missions to raise me past 5.

I've read the above thread and there are no "clear asteroid" or "defend platform" missions. I'll keep checking back. Also, I've only found the "The Shark" and "The Lion" Pride bases. Is there another somewhere with the higher missions?

Something else you should be aware of.....

I flew the Sky Hawk until the wings fell off, man. I just couldn't find anything to upgrade-to that I liked better. The thing is super deadly if flown right. I like that the secondary weapon has the same aiming dynamic as the main gun. If someone jousted me, I would just pop on the forward shield and SHRED IT. I couldn't find anything really fast with a Secondary I loved like that bird.

Probably, because I got so cocky with it I started taking on EVERYTHING out there in that little bird.

I thought I was super-badass, then noticed what must be bugs.

If I attack a corvette with fighter cover, like the pirates in an asteroid field in my Sky Hawk the fighters will not scramble against me unless I attack one. Then only one fights back. And the capital ship won't fire back at all.

So I killed a couple capital ships just shooting my chain gun in it endlessly for like 10 minutes until it finally died. The first time I hugged near it and thought I was in a "blind spot." The second time I flew all around it and it ignored me.

They know I'm attacking them. They comment the whole time. "Just a scratch" "Now I'm pissed" "It can't end like this.!" But they don't fight back. Its a major exploit.

Also a bummer....it took the fun out of my Sky Hawk.

I figured it out.

You may need to take a non-mission rank raising mission or two to get make the mission you want to show up!

Did some corvette bounties that raised neither rank nor max mission level, but it did scare up the defend platform mission eventually.

Failed the first few times. Finally went back with my Eagle plus like 30 fighters and did it. Then it didn't show up again until I did more bounties.

After a couple hours though I got up to rank 6.

A couple days later now I have my DRAKE.

The DRAKE is a BEAST!! I can wipe out an entire base's defenses with my 1 DRAKE. I'm earning a million or 2 million in bounties everytime I take her out.

SO COOL.

Now I'm saving up for the NoJoys.

Im thinking Ill take out the HYDRA base because its close to Yellowstone -- where I'm keeping my NoJoy's. I've got 2. In a few days I'll be up to 15 and go stomppin over there. Wish me luck!!!
