One annoying issue
So I have played a bit now, and the most annoying issue I have ran into so far is how the mouse recenters on the ship when flying in the overworld map. There really needs to be a pause button. I always want to hit spacebar to pause, but looking at the button mapping I see no way to pause once you enter the overworld and your ship keeps flying forward. This has annoyed me in several ways.

The first way is the fact if it goes into time dilation stuff scrolls by quickly, and when I am trying to click on an object(say a bounty target) and I miss click the mouse recenters on my ship and it keeps flying forward often towards a hostile ship.

The second issue with this is when fleeing from an enemy. For some reason when I am facing the opposite way of an enemy when entering the overworld map my ship is facing back towards that enemy when it gets to the overworld map and I have mere seconds to try and click to move it away from said enemy before it goes back to "ship mode."

I like the game a lot so far, but 16 hours in these issues get pretty tedious I must say. Other-wise it's a fun game so far! I just suggest adding a way to pause the overworld map with a key press like you can in Mount and Blade. Maybe I am missing something, but I do not see a key to pause it on the overworld map.

I did have one crash as well at one point, but it was easy enough to reload my save since the game saves often.

There is a "pause" - it's not a 100% stop - but it slows down the action quite a bit, in my opinion it's cooler than a pause because you can see movement which means you can plan tactics of sorts.

But let's back up a bit for a sec - to stop your ship moving in Overworld mode you can hit the H key (as in "hold command"). This isn't the pause I'm talking about.

To slow down time - it's SHIFT + T - this works both in ship mode and overworld mode and should give you far more time to make decisions - though not infinite. This actually toggles in automatically if you are issuing move commands in oveworld mode, when you are near enemies, a big object and when you just enter overworld mode.

This is because you have the enemy targeted as you enter overworld mode - having an object targeted in ship mode - means you have it targeted in overworld mode. Having a target in overworld mode means you go towards it. A simple solution is if you don't want to change direction - don't have anything targeted in ship mode as you enter overworld mode.

This is the concept of - what happens in ship mode stays in overworld mode. There's a bunch of threads on this if you want to see a bunch of discussions.

Thanks! I should have looked more closely at the key commands while I was in the control mapping. I didn't know you could stop your ship and that was annoying lol.

Also thank you for the time dilation tip. I had actually used that once in battle, but then forgot about it later as I never used it again because I like the fast paced combat in this game. I could see that being useful once I get a fleet.

Makes since on the targeting issue as well. I will remember to deselect an enemy when fleeing to overworld mode. Pretty cool the developer responds personally to threads to help. I don't see that often!
