Scourge of War: Waterloo

Scourge of War: Waterloo

Can't run the game
So ive been playing the game a lot over the last few weeks, over 50 hours. But after I turned off my computer, and logged back on this morning, every time I try to run the game, it crashes in the loading screen. It says "Run time error" every time I try to boot up the game. Ive tried verifying the itegrety of my game files, and ive tried installing and uninstalling, no luck. Please help, I really do love this game and do wanna play it

Are you on win10? Did you already set the game to run in compatibility mode as win 7 and running as administrator?

Regards

A friend of mine was able to play SoW Gettysburg on win10 for some hours without setting compatibility. Suddenly he had problems (in Gettysburg he was no more able to see text in the menu screens). It happened exactly like you, he did nothing, one minute before it was working.
Mysteries of computer science...
After he set compatibility and running as administrator, the game runs fine.

Thanks for your help, but I do have another question, I know how to run it as administrator, but im not really sure what "Run in compatibility mode with windows 7" means if you could explain that to me, that'd be really helpful
