Mister "5 minutes played total" ( alt account? ), did you even TRY searching?

There is a private server emulator project - since that thread is locked, I'm going to tell you that if you search well enough you can find an discord invite link out there somewhere on the internet, that has no expiration date ( leftover of the bad security practises of said Discord group ).

Just for clarity, I will tell you the thing that most of people here have no guts to admitt - I will say the silent part out loud:
this server emu project has it's own DRM and is by NO MEANS "open".
It's NEITHER open source, NOR open for "anyone to play". They have their own made up rules and they dismiss anyone with concerns.

I said this before - I will say it again:
you people didn't "SAVE the dead game" - you merely made it so that the scythe switched hands to another Grim Reaper. The game WAS NOT SAVED. It was resurrected in a necromantic fashion, and can be put down once again at any point.
This isn't like some other beloved games - where communities put together tools to still play them, in a fashion open to EVERYONE, and FOREVER. No. This project is DRMd, heavily participation GATED, and is entirely on mercy of the mysterious developer who can pull the plug at any time.

I just wanted to make this clear for you, because you will have hard time finding other people in the community who would tell you this at all...
Proceed with this information however you like.
Good luck ;)

Oh - one more thing:
Nexon corporation is known for it's practises for over a decade. If you know what's good for you - stay away from ALL their games, regardless if made by them, PUBLISHED by them, or made by their puppet subsidiaries ( warning here: it may not always openly reveal to be connected to Nexon and sometimes it's necessary to seriously dig deeper to find out ).
They are a trecherous corp openly rivaling the likes of EA and Ubisoft - if you ask ME, in MY opnion Nexon is actually worse than both of them combined.
GITS SAC FAO didn't die "by accident" - it was 100% deliberate and planned from the very beginning - this is what Nexon does, as a rule. They lure in an IP holder, they create copy-cat project, they launch it, they milk the community from money to highest extent possible, they very poorly maintain the project ( as to not waste their money for a project MEANT to be closed anyway ), then they find an "EXCUSE" to terminate the project forever. Rince and repeat. They leave a paper trail of stink - if you know how to investigate in the digital era of humanity - you WILL find it...
I could write more about this, but I don't like repeating myself while I already wrote a lot about it before in another thread.
But alas...
Sorry for the semi-off-topic rant :P

All best to you in 2025 by the way !
yes it was on another account xD
after 2016 I was never able to log into that game again, but thank you very much for clarifying, I didn't know the correct way to go about solving this (I'm a noob at this) so thanks man
