Well, on Playstation 1 there was also a ghost in the shell, but you could play those cute little robots with 6 legs... and fight others.... [still own it and ps2^^ <3]

more unique than just a FPS with GitS theme :x

I have boththe Ps1 and Ps2 games. I haven't played the Ps1 game that much, but I have beaten the Ps2 game and I used to play the multiplayer with friends. It had some awesome multiplayer, actually some of the best splitscreen deathmatch I've ever played just because of the off-the-wall things you could do, like Batou against a sentry robot, or play as a run of the mill terrorist against a tachikoma. It was fun just because of the lopsided battles you could get.

Ah yes, a tachikoma fps is much much more unique than a FPS with GITS characters...NOT

I don't much remember about that PS1 game. But I was pretty fond of the PS2 game, which had a level where you could man a Tachkimo as well, although I don't think you were climbing as much as in the PS1 game.
