A good alternative for the M4A1 is the KH-417, it has more punch and accuracy. In my opinion the AK47 and the Kh-417 are the best assault rifles, they have ggod damage and accuracy. The damage of the AK47 is up to 44 equiping the "511-LB barrel and the accuracy up to 85. The KH-417 has damage up to 43 equiping the 2511-LB barrel and te accuracy up to 83.

AK is unwieldy in my opinion. There's little room for error. Scar isn't much better. I find Scar to generally outperform the M4a1, but it does bounce around a lot.

People will say that because the AK is the king of long range, but certainly not a balanced AR.

A lot of prefer a lot of different Assault Rifles,but in general,pick the one that suits you the most.
If you don't like Tapfiring and Long Range engagements,do not take AK47,as that gun although top tier accuracy and damage,has horrid accuracy while moving.
SCAR has low recoil for its damage and range,and is generally good in many situations,but it also suffers a bit from RoF.
M4A1 is overall best rifle in the game,it works in every situation and for unknown reasons it has best accuracy while moving and great hipfire.
Another decent alternative is KH417 but it pretty much plays the same as AK47 so imo its just whoever prefers the one over the other.
K22 is a great "upgrade" to M4A1 as a lot of people say,it probably has the best hipfire accuracy in the game and is pretty much a sniper-assault rifle yet has decent RoF and Damage,however it also doesn't have as good movement accuracy like M4A1,and although its barely noticeable,it has -1 RoF compared to M4A1.

the m4a1 has good hip fire if you just tap.

Just keep using the default m4a1 and aim high you will have the best gun in game.
