1) Is the game crashing immediately, or you can still see the tinyBuild logo at the beginning?
2) What kind of system do you have?

Edit: nvm i can get to resolution selection holding shift before launching the game, but this does not resolve the issue, the game is still crashing no matter what.
I could not reproduce the issue you are experiencing. I tried different systems (AlienWare and non-AlienWare), and with different peripherals. However, I don't have an TactX keyboard, and it seems that there are more games that don't work with that keyboard.
Expect a build soon where you can turn the AlienFX off when desired.
In the meantime, could you try playing with a different keyboard? If that doesn't work, what happens when you uninstall or update the AlienWare Command Center?
Also i have unplugging keyboard and uninstalled keyboard drivers and Alienware Command Center and tested with different keyboard and game seems to work that way, so it is something to do with keyboard or its drivers. Unfortunately i couldn't find any Alienware Command Center update for a non-Alienware systems, my keyboard drivers are the same version as from the Dell website, however AlienFX lights works perfectly with games like Payday: The Heist, Payday 2, Metro: Last Light, Dying Light and so on.
Looks like turn able on/off AlienFX feature when desired would be perfect solution for this.
In the latest build, you can turn this off by opening the menu before the game crashes. (So after you've pressed A to start, but before the screen fades out.) Choose Options > Advanced > AlienFX.
For reference, this is what the lights are supposed to do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rhiyFWEvVY
@Ninto: Does it help for you to turn off AlienFX in the game as described above?
Now, I turn off alienfx from the game (since you add that option now) and my keyboard return to normal (always red).
I also notice a big fps drop that happen randomly, either thanks to alienfx on or the game refusing to use the nvdia card (yay for switchable graphic on a gaming laptop <.<). I finaly beat the game as well but I will give it another go with alienfx off to see if I have the same issue, if not, then is another problem and not related to this one.
