Assuming you're on normal mode and have enough defense so you only take 1 damage, equip a Sun Ring for passive healing.
It's below the room with the Varndagoth boss fight and contains 6 Flesh Arachnids.
Flesh Arachnids only have 20 HP and they don't cause any knockback when they attack. Dash across the room and let them all swarm you, then stand still. Let the familiar attack the group 2~3 times and finish the rest with a Radiant orb attack. Familiar will get like 4~6 XP for each pass.
I play on PS4 and don't have a 2nd controller. It would a lot quicker if I had manual control over the familiar since they aren't very aggressive and pause between attacks when auto-controlled.
However, I still find this takes too long and isn't worth the effort
Felt like it took over a hour to get 4 familiars to level 10.
If I got them all to level 20, they could be strong enough to oneshot all the enemies and that would speed it up. Hopefully the familiar XP gets rebalanced at some point.
Yup. 99,999 gold from Merchant Crow, which you can make quickly by grinding out Hi-Ethers from slimes, AND it stacks! First one increases exp to 3, second one to 9, and the pyramid enemies now drop an item that gives 100 exp to your familiar.
