A couple things to try:
- Is your Sound Device active? (Stereo speakers or Headphones). The game doesn't work too well if your computer can't play sounds.
- Have you tried disabling your anti-virus software temporarily?
Since it sounds like your game is actually crashing, that means there should be a log of it in Windows! You can find it via:
0. Try to open Timespinner and have it crash.
1. Open the "Start Menu" on Windows.
2. In the Search box, type in "Event Viewer" and select the program "Event Viewer"
3. Navigate to the game's crash via "Windows Logs" -> "Application" -> "Error" line
4. Paste the error text found below, here!
(Here's a picture of where to find the information in Event Viewer:

I'm very excited to play, so you can understand how :( I was.
I disabled anti-virus.
I uninstalled and reinstalled all sound drivers.
I tried it with my laptop speakers, external speakers, and headphones.
As mentioned in the first message, there are no crash logs.
Edit: The game just started, which is odd that it wouldn't last night. This start may be a temporary "unclogging" but if it happens again I will be sure to update this thread to better help you figure out what that problem was.

The game only starts when I have my headphones plugged in. They are, however, broken and don't play sound.
What would the workaround be?
