Shiny rock ?

Anyone else bought the Shiny Rock item for 9999 Entropy from the Crow ?

Is it just a joke, just-because-I'm-rich item, or has anyone found a use to it (yet) ? :-)

I just spent 2h hours of grinding to get it (because there's not much more the demo allows me te do… for now).

I was curious about this too, I finished the game in very little time, despite grinding a bit just because I wanted to. I considered hopping back on to save up for it.

From what I can tell it does nothing, I just spent 2 hours with it and I can't see anything different from before. Almost certainly a joke item. If it's not, then the people who do know what it does are being smugly coy whenever they're asked about it.

Yup, there's a demo out for Kickstarter backers. It's about an hour long, maybe two if you're really grindy.

I beat *that* boss several times with the Shiny Rock equipped… but never UNequipped, so I can't tell :-) I'll have to try again without it.

When I beat "that" boss without the Shiny Rock equipped I didn't get anything special. Did this several times. Once equipped I finally got the familiur.

So I did get a robot familiar from that area without the shiny rock equipped. So doing it with the rock equipped adds the merchant crow to the potential rewards from beating that boss?
