Premium Steam version vs free flash differences
"BUT GUYS YOU CAN PLAY THIS FOR FREE ON X FLASH GAME SITE!!!!1!!1!"

Indeed you can![www.kongregate.com] However that is just a "lite" version, more of a demo really.

Premium Features not in the lite version
  • 20 extra floors
  • The complete storyline and conclusion
  • 3 extra playable characters
  • More NPCs with quests
  • ~50 new items
  • Multiple save slots
  • New Game+
  • Full Screen / infinite window size support
  • Most up-to-date bug-free version
  • 2 new music tracks
  • *Extended versions of 4 existing music tracks
  • *Best performance as a native desktop application
  • *Steam Achievements
  • *Steam Trading Cards

Note: The Android and iOS paid versions are also premium, with all of the above features except those marked with a * which are desktop exclusive.

On a personal note, I make next to nothing from flash game ads (like less than $100/month) so by purchasing the full version you'd be directly supporting my ability to continue making more games full time. :)

I loved the flash game - my game didn't save properly though. I will definitely buy this as soon as it comes out!

I love this game. You won't have to convince me to purchase it! (It will probably have to wait until my next paycheck however ^_^).

I've been on board since Enchanted Cave was first posted to Armor Games in 2010, and I'll happily support you as a developer.

That alone would cause me to buy this game, but the additional features are certainly an added icing on the cake.

Also, Grant Kirkhope. That alone ensures my purchase. In fact, just name a game "The Adventures of Grant Kirkhope," make the download a document that has "Grant Kirkhope" written 367 times in Times New Roman...I'd probably still buy it. XD

Welp, now I can see the price.

So... almost double the price for those "desktop exclusive" additions? Alright...

It's $5, you can't really get more reasonable a price than that IMO.

That's not what I'm on about? I'm not saying it isn't worth this price, I'm saying he shouldn't double the price in accordance with what this version has. The android version is £2.40, this is £4. Would you say that some extra music, better performance and some steam additions are worth doubling the price?

Because personally, I think that's bull.

Anything above $2.99 on mobile doesn't sell well at all. It's kind of the standard price there, so that's what I went with. You're welcome to play it just on mobile if you prefer, I won't be at all offended.

Mobile is like a permanent 40% off sale. Steam will go even lower than that during some sales though.

I might just wait until a sale then. I still think it's a little off though. I would buy it on mobile actually but well... I don't have a mobile phone.

Thanks for the reply.

If your into games like diablo where you like the grind, and in this game infinitely powerful (I havent found a statcap yet) you could easily dump 20 hours into this game. Thats well worth the 5$ :)

Insta-buy for me, and if you ever put the original TEC on Steam, that one will be an insta-buy too. I played the hell out of the Flash version and ponied up $7 for the mobile version 4 or 5 years ago. Fun games :Gems:

$100 a month seems quite a lot to me.

I just sat here all day playing the steam version, made myself wait haven't played Enchanted Cave 2 on flash sites or anywhere else. Just got to floor 100 ... I managed to go from floor 30 to 100 without using wings, what a rush haha. Worried about dying on every floor...

While I think the price here is fair, your logic isn't. Doubling a price tag simply because you can is absurd, no offense.
