'Tis almost as good as they get dude.
There are also some pretty "modern" touches (even if they were not unique to this particular game), like for example leaving map markers that appear both on mini map and on your display.
I didnt actually do a google search, must have been on my first pc then .... how memory fades!
The graphics haven't aged well, but the gameplay is fantastic, and one of the best games of the 90s you probably never played. Is it worth $5.99? I don't know. But if it goes on sale for $2-3, I'd absolutely get it.
Not because it is bad, but because I'm afraid of spoiling my memories of it.
Viewed through the experience of modern mechanics and graphics, this can never ever live up to the memory.
I'd easily pay €60 for a proper sequel/remake, though.
Dem graphics doe
Purely in the eye of the beholder. Recent AAA release "Mad Max" looks gorgeous and has open world but... gameplay-wise, it's the same flat tower-climbing from every Ubi game since 2007. As minsc said, Terra Nova is as fun as it was in '96 demos, only the full title today costs as much as the magazine with the disc used to cost on the magazine rack, with the bonus that it's deeper than many recent releases.
I would encourage any interested parties to check this title out. Maybe a renewed interest could see a renaissance for the game, Firefly-style. I won't get my hopes up, though.
