The fast screaming monsters? Chapter 2. Minor spoilers?

After going through the small viking village with the guy burning down his own house i came to an alley with 2 of these monsters and it left me kinda unsure about the the rest of the game.

It seems like you should sneak past them but no matter how good i sneak they seem to run past me if lucky but instantly turn and run straight for me even if i'm not visible or making any sounds.
The flashlight is obviously not working on them as you should expect.
They run far faster than you so you can't outrun them.

So how do you actually deal with them? I managed this part because they spawned behind me/to the left and i ran straight towards the top of the cliffs.
But in the next part of the chapter there is 1 spawning quite early running straight down to were you are comming and even if i hide behind stuff he is after me within a few seconds.

if you mean Huldra, just aim the flashlight on her until she moves back and run.

Hmm that did not work for me the 2 times i tried.. Will give it another shot.

You should listen from what side she is screaming and aim the flashlight on her before she ran close to you. Light doesn't scare her just instantly.
And you can't sneak or hide from her, you're in her home, she knows it well. Light and run, light and run till you leave her territory.

edit; shining the flashlight at her helps, but it makes me run in circles and losing my path lol

Is that really Huldra, though? I think it looks more like Gamle-Erik

This is a bit of a game-breaker for me. No matter what i do, shine my flashlight at the monster, or try to outrun it by going through the cave, she always gets me. I must have tried a dozen times by now, still no success. I hope somebody can give me some advise or i might have to give up on this game, which would be a shame.

Shining the flashlight on her worked. But not the first time for me. Just try again.

Well i did not give up. After running some errands trough the cave and over de mountain path i finally was able to proceed without the troll blocking my way, don;t ask me how i did it, i must have been lucky or something. Now i am at the gate with the note warning for more trolls. Wish me luck !

The trolls can hear you so just sneak :)

Thanks for sharing this. I was about to buy the game but if there is one thing I hate it's these type of things. So not buying. You have saved my wallet.

A bit too troublesome to be fun. Game breaker for us too unfortunately.

Edit: Huldra becomes less aggressive over time to help you out. So looks like we're continuing after all.
