They really need to get rid of the BLANK tag...

It's easy to cheat the system by searching for BLANK since all videos have that tag by default. Watch the first 5 videos, remove the tag from them, search for BLANK again. Ta-da, all videos available in a brainless way.

Videos should have no tags at all and searching for an empty string should return an error saying "insert query string" or something like that.

Maybe it was by design? (I mean, he deliberately put it there, while he could've easily left it empty). I think it would take the fun out of it, but for the 2nd playthrough, it's a convenient tool to see every video in order, as far as I can see.

I don't know mate, me, I feel silly trying to find interesting keywords and all when I'm aware I can access everything with this exploit. Makes me feel like Q&A more than like a detective.

I think it's meant to be exploited. in fact, this is the only way to see some videos with only "yes" or "no" answers.

^ Wrong. After you get to the credits at the "End" - they give you a tip for if you're "Having trouble". Also tell you how to see more than five videos at once.

Just type "yes" or "no" (with the qoutations) into the search bar. Simple.

If you really want to watch all the videos straight through, you could always just go to the local files. They're right there unencrypted.
I was thinking right off, if I was a reporter or private investigator there's no way I would just use the interface they gave me to keyword search videos, I'd just try to hack in the stupid database

Luckily I found this method after I beat the game. I agree though, it would have ruined the experience.

I can see where you're coming from, but in my opinion that would just turn a fun game in a tedious non-interactive movie where you have to keep restarting the movie every 30 seconds, apart from doing the blank search and delete actions.. Not sure if I could manage that even if I wanted to try..

i feel like it is intended, and ended up using that to get a few remaining videos, it is a nice simple way of giving the player some choice and a sense of mastery/feeling smart. The fact that the videos are in chronological order and in an X Y grid is also smart since it assists tagging.

you can use a command type: ADMIN_UNLOCK to change the search from the first 5 to the first 15

I used this for the last 10-15 videos (all of the yes/no ones) and a couple of others that literally had about 4-5 words that I was never going to guess logically.

I hope they leave it in since if someone wants to ruin the game that is up to them but for those who want to see every last morsel of story it is much better that just typing in the entire dictionary :)
