I'm having the same issue. I press the big Play button on a video and I just got a 'beep' and the video doesn't play. I'm on Windows 7 SP1.

hey. running into the same issue (when pressing "play", only the bar with the top right X to close the window appears, no video). i'm on Mac OSX 10.7.5. no idea if this is related, but the game's desktop shortcut has no icon, just the title which i need to click to launch the game. once in-game, everything except the videos seems to be running fine, no sound/graphics problem at all.

Same issue. Can't watch videos. Just click on them, *bong* error noise and then nothing. Running Windows 7 SP1.

fox: it looks the video plugin is incompatible with OSX 10.7. It's unlikely this is something I can fix -- really sorry about this. Are you OK to request a refund?

I've updated the specs to 10.8+ to let future buyers know.

nah, no refund for me. even if i can't play it i really want to support this game, looks amazing. so i'll wait until whenever i upgrade to another laptop to play it (mine is a 2014 macbook ;_; i thought it could run recent indie games, i feel betrayed). congrats on your successful launch in any case :)

oh and by the way, i did try running it on my PC though (windows Vista 32, latest SP), and ran into the same problem, except this time i couldn't get past the "error" sound like i did on my mac. it seems lots of vista people are having the same problem.

Hi Sam,
I just tried to start the game and after clicking search (murder) and chosing a video a dialogue appears asking me if I'd like to use ffdshow. No matter if I say yes or no the game closes. I would also know how to turn on subtitles for the game. Using Win7/64.

Never mind - I just installed ffdshow tryouts and it works (showing subs automatically) so no problem here :)

Thanks markoh00 -- we had one tester run into issues with FFDSHOW before. Seems to be a cause of a few people's video problems.

The tester fixed his problems by blacklisting the Her Story.exe so FFDSHOW wasn't used when the videos were accessed.

Hi, the videos don't work for me either. I'm on Windows 7 Professional N SP1, if any of that helps.
I was really looking forward to this game, I hope you can fix the issue. :/
