How very counter-intuitive... 2.2 hours of progress lost because of this. Sigh, it was fun while it lasted, guess I will never finish this game now.
Frankly, I think it would be wise to be able to save sessions independently and recall them. This way, for instance, I could take all the interview clips from one date/timeframe with Hannah or Eve, then watch them back to back after having found the relevant stuff and put it into a "Session." Then, I could save another session for a different interview date/timeframe.
Follow me on this?
@tomatoes.dll I second you, I totally wanted to do that too.
and really, rewatching some of them with more of the story is totally worth it... i think it improved my experience of the game. i had just discovered the keyword that blows it all open, but hadn't followed it completely yet and if i had just gone head on without re-evaluating some of what i heard and saw before i don't think it would've been as satisfying.
with that dimming screen, just think of it as a power failure and you forgot to save. :)
still, it would be nice to have more of a warning that this is akin to starting a new game.
meta game spoiler? i was thinking at some point i'd have to "show" my session data to someone as "proof", which is why i tried to clear it.
if there was ever another game along these lines (i hope so it was fun. i wonder if it'd be possible to tell a story the opposite way, with just questions...) i'd say that combining the user tags with "session data" seems like it'd be a good way to let us re-organize it and also keep track of clues and potential keywords. i'd often think of a bunch while watching, but after a few searches forget some.
on my second go i just tried adding all clips thinking i'd re-arrange it in order, but once i had it added i realized how much a pain dragging was....! not worth it haha. :)
Are you still planning on adding this function? I bought the game back when it first came out, played for about 20 minutes and figured I must be doing something wrong because I couldn't delete clips, and saw this message.
I figured I'd just wait until the update came out and put it on the shelf, but if it's not coming out anytime soon, I'll just go ahead with it.
Hi! Yes, I'm still hoping to get this in -- the downside of there only being one of me and the attention HS has gotten has been to make getting the 1.1. version done and tested much more of a lengthy process than I'd hoped -- a few small issues cropped up when updating to Unity 5 and they've been tricky to fix.
I would say go ahead anyway!
Thanks for the spoiler, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
