Having the same issue on my 2013 macbook pro running High Sierra 10.13.4. Have searched the forums but I can't find a solution. Bummed because I was super excited to play the game.

Having the same issue

The game screen gets huge in MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports) The HighSierra 10.13.5. I already tried to change the resolution of the Mac and the game and nothing worked. Any suggestion?

Please try punching COMMAND+ENTER - this should either full screen the game and adjust resolution or window it, fitting the game into it. It will allow you to get into the game's settings and changing the resolution values to your liking.

Command+enter did nothing unfortunately. The game was windowed and it neither made it full screen nor shrunk the window for me to get access to it. I ended up plugging in a spare monitor via HDMI and using its larger resolution to get access to the settings to adjust the resolution, but while that worked as a workaround the game will still be unplayable for anyone on a mac who doesn't happen to have a monitor lying around (and the resolution was so stuffed that it took quite a bit of fiddling to get access to the settings button even on a larger resolution monitor)
If you go up to the top menu bar, you can click windows and the option "Fullscreen" appears. It worked for me :/

Was searching for a solution, found this thread.

Neither COMMAND + ENTER nor fullscreen option works. If I fullscreen, once it changes the scenery (from menu to settings or from the menu until a save) the game will revert back to windowed and it's original massive size. I have tried all resolutions, none will change it from the massive size. I am on a 2021 M1 Mac Pro, if that helps.

press command + f and then you change the resolution because command + f activates fullscreen
