60 Seconds!

Black Screen On Launch
Hey bugout baggers. I recently purchased this game on the winter steam sale. I downloaded and installed it, but everytime I go to launch the game nothing but a black screen shows up. I can hear the music and small sounds but I cannot see anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise I'm just going to have to refund the game.

Hi, try doing this: go to C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local Low\Robot Gentleman Studios\60 Seconds\ and delete the file Settings.dat, then try relaunching the game. Let me know if that helps.

Hello Im having the same issue. At first the screen size was so tiny I didn't notice it was open at all except that the music was playing and their was an icon on the taskbar. After trying all of the following I now have a black screen, the size of the resolution I've set in settings.dat but it's still black.

Steps taken:
Restart machine
delete settings.dat - first in only Robot Gentlemen - no change, file isn't recreated when starting the game so I restored it
delete settings.dat - in Robot Gentlemen Studios - no change, file isn't recreated when starting the game so I restored it
delete settings.dat from both folders - no change, file not created on game startup so I restore them both
change fullscreen to false - can now see black window on startup instead of tiny icon in the left hand corner
change resolution settings.dat - can now see black window that 1074 instead of 1366 wide
Force use DirectX9 - receive an error stating it cannot use 0x0 resolution - remove force command from startup conditions
Update Nvidia driver
Restart machine

None of these steps have resolved the black screen, I've owned this game since 2015 and haven't had problems before.

My machine has
Nvidia 820M
Core i7 2ghz
SSD
16gb RAM
Win 10 1709 64bit

Hi @jezus cytrus I managed to fix it by completely removing the Nvidia card (I have onboard graphics as well) from Device Manager and downloading the new Nvidia GeForce Experience package and manually installing the latest drivers, I have a feeling that the recent (November?) auto update for Nvidia didn't complete properly. I'm now up and running. Thanks for checking in.

fixed the issue by doing this:
Go to C:\Users\[YourUserName]\AppData\Local Low\Robot Gentleman\60 Seconds\ and edit the file Settings.dat by changing the ScreenHeight and ScreenWidth values to 1024 and 768 respectively. Relaunch the game.
