Why do this game have such high reviews?
After playing this game I can't understand why people give it such high reviews. I find it boring and poorly executed. I would be fine with "positive" as reviews go but when it's "very positive" it is beyond me. Not only that but negative reviews get down voted like crasy and I don't find these to be insulting or missing any point.

Please, I'm not trying to hate on this game. I'm really not. Can someone explain to me why this game have the same "positive reviews" as games like: Witcher 3, Deus ex: human revolution (cost only twice as much) and even such a thing as No more room in hell, a FREE mod to anyone who owns HL2.
I mean okay, if the game really is worth this kind of money, please can someone tell me why?
Because I do not write this post to scare people away, that is what reviews are for. I am trying to get some enlightenment.

Not only is that comment weird and hostile, it is also off-topic.

Lol apparently floppy can't take criticism or create an intelligent response.

Anyway, the game has a "very positive" rating because of the way steam reviews work. More than 75-80% of people gave a positive review, so that's the rating it gets.

I know that's not the kind of answer you're looking for, but it's the most realistic answer you're going to get. In future I suggest reading the actual content of the reviews rather than buying a game just based on the number of people who've clicked the thumbs up button.

The game is given such high reviews because of the post-apocalypse element, which is popular with the gaming community, as well as possibly the history element, particularly the 50's aspect, which is particularly popular in modern times for some reason.
I tried to explain it. :60sMask:

Thank you Leezeebub for your reply.

I understand how the rating system works and I bought the game when it was first released. My issue is that I can't understand why the game have such high reviews. I'm trying to understand what people see in this game. What am I missing?

I mean I love games like "this war of mine" and "papers please". They are simple in concept but nontheless deep and fun.

Don't get me wrong, I can understand where some of the entertainment lies. It's not an awful game. But for the current asking price and how the game feels, I do not understand how so many like it.

Is that it? Because I freaking love the 50s era nuclear treat and post-apocalyptic themes. But I do not feel that this game does the best with it.

And you didn't try to explain it, you told me to "get out"
Jenkem Junkie Aug 6, 2015 @ 4:21am
I would agree that it seems a bit overpriced, but any less feels too low to me. The game might also appeal to players because of the dark humor it has at times, or the specific art style and unique spin on the "Cold War AU: We DID Get Nuked" story?
Also, I meant I tried to explain it in that message.

Unless a game is really bad (and as you've already pointed out, this one isn't) then reviews will always be on he positive side, simply because you can only post a review if you've already bought the game and most people don't buy games they won't like.

The game isn't amazing by any stretch of the imagination but it's good enough that most people who bought it are happy with what they got.

this game is good, idk what you're talking about, sure it can get a lil boring after awhile but so does any game, after awhile any game gets boring and repetitive, its called life.

its 5.49CAD, that's a cheap price for a decent game. it's practically a steal, there are good reviews because it's actually a good game. sure there are more things that could be added i guess.

The game is a very decent game, 10 euros is also decent price for this kind of games
its not to expensive.

Only major problem is, it has loads of bugs, and it has been like that for a while.
I been gaming since my 12 thats almost 40 years now, so i have seen and played many many games, i know what i am talking about.

I have bought hundreds of retail games and i have bought a 1000 digital games all drm free ofcourse :D because most of the times the protection messes up the game, i seen many games here from many devs i have lots of the games drm free and the funny thing is: they dont have bugs and i was able to finish these games without any developer patches needed.

The point is i have also beta tested some realarcade games for 2 years, real arcade
was merged / taken over by another company lateron so the testing changed and i stopped testing for them.

In those 2 years of daily beta testing the games i have never met games that had so many bugs like this game 60 seconds has. So i can understand that some users are upset by all those bugs.

So the only one problem this game has : is its bugs, there are way to many of these, 75% should have been discoverd and removed / fixed during its beta fase, and not when users have bought this.

Thats the one and only bad thing about this game, i have no other remarks about it cause the game idea is brilliant.
I hope they create more games like these but please, remove all major bugs before releasing it commercially and ask cash for it.

regards

yup, thats the way it works: if more than 75- 80% rate a game positive, then it gets a positive rating cause the current majority said it was positive, its like voting: the one(s) that get the majority of the votes will win....

I feel like this games isn't the best either, tbh, I believe it lacks content. I know it's in early developement but it seems so repetetive. The events you encounter are fun, but are limited to 3-5 runs and then you've seen most of the outcomes. I also don't know what's going on with the challenges, when the devs should be working on spicing things up and producing more encounters and items, they just spit out these grabbig challenges and you get a hat. I really like the idea on paper but this game seems to be lacking what a good game needs most.

It's not in EA.... really I like this game, but it's also too buggy. I've taken a break from it for awhile hoping they'd fix the controller detection. I came back and tried to load it... now the game won't even show on my screen. lol. I'm sure I'll figure out what's wrong... but this long after full release it shouldn't be so buggy.
