"You perished." Wait . . . WHAT!?

So I just finished a run and I had already completed the events necessary to get rescued. Mary Jane and Dolores had died and Timmy was sick after he got back from his expedition, so I sent Ted (who was in good health) out to hopefully find a medkit. The military came the day after next to save us and Timmy was still alive. Thinking I'd won, I was a little surprised to see the end screen tell me that I'd perished. Okay, little surprised is a slight understatment. More like spitting coffee over my keyboard and screaming "What the serious f@*%!? That's some boooos&*t right there!"

I'm assuming this means Ted died on his expedition, but I went through the events in the journal leading up to the rescue and there was nothing stating that he died. Besides, I know you need at least one adult to progress through the game, but come on! The military was there and Timmy was still alive! Do they have a "no orphans" policy or something? Gah!

Even when getting rescued, huh? That's seems pretty ridiculous, since I'd left the kids by themselves in the shelter for days before.

This is a bug, we already have it on record and its resolution will be deployed with the next update, which is going to be bundled with the first DLC.

We will be making DLC related announcements shortly, so stay tuned.

Unfortunately, we got blocked by DLC related changes in a way that does not allow us to deploy bug fix updates in a regular manner, like we did until last month. Once the DLC is out we will no longer have that problem and we will return to the regular update schedule.

well timmy was sick right? maybe ted died in the expedition and timmy died the day the millitary came.

Nah, Timmy was only sick for two days. Not long enough for him to die and he was still alive and kicking when the military entered the shelter. Also, if either one had died it would've said so in the journal. The devs already confirmed that it was a bug and wasn't supposed to happen.

Weird Alice just deal with it, the millitary saw a kid and thought he was a manican because the goverment is stupid in this game, the army probably left and got tacos or something

Actually this has been fixed back in September 2015 and we haven't seen this happen since. Have you encountered this again?

Timmy healthy.

After both children got rescued by military I saw the message "you perished". But at least steam achievement got unlocked that I was rescued.
