"Liberation" Achevement
I can't acheve "Liberation" achevement even after I'm very sure I've rescued someone from
the bandit...Am I doing something wrong?
Edit:I know it now.And I fckin' got it lol.

For the Details:
I got Timmy captured at D48(The raiders attacked the shelter),on day 49,The options showed up and
this time wasn't a successful.(Got medkit)
Then,on D56 another option showed up once again.This time Timmy got back.
Well,I ended up losing.

It's a very nice game,but this achievement is a real pain in the a....
The funny thing is that I was watching the famous you tuber from whom I learned about the game and at his last playthrough (the k.... challenge part 2) he died with the exact same way I've been dying trying to get this achievement:bandits almost every day.

The moment bandits start to attack, you're doomed because they will never stop. But, according to my observations, they also don't attack, if you don't send scavengers very often (makes sense, I guess - if expeditions are constant, they can track you down to you shelter). So here's what I do - send people as often as possible until roughly day 30-35, and then only send them with several days break between expeditions, the longer the better. Guys get captured and the bandits don't spot you, so you can chill in your shelter. At least that's how it worked in my game... Maybe I'm all wrong and it was pure luck, but I did manage to get someone captured several times without bandits spotting my shelter. It didn't help me though (the "attack the bandits camp" event didn't want to pop up), so I've already given up on this, but thought I'd share my tactics.

Thanks for the help.I noticed that too.So I scavange every 10 days to be safe.
But indeed,in my last games i was trying to provoke them and make them kidnap a member,so I deliberately scavanged more often.But if,as you say, they kidnap someone without them getting out so often,i'll give another try,using your way.

After many attempts I finally got this achievement myself. Here is a short guide for those that are having problems.

1. Survive and stay low until you get the "Payback Time" event. (That is the event where you get the option to attack a bandit encampment with either Axe or Rifle.) This event should show up every other day from now on.
2. Proceed by sending lots of expeditions until bandits start attacking your bunker.
3. Let the bandits inside so they can kidnap a family member.
4. Wait until the "Payback Time" event triggers and attack. Hopefully you will get the achievement. If not, try again the next time.

I had trouble with this achievement, because I tried alerting the bandits of my presence BEFORE the "Payback time" event started showing up. I thought it wouldn't show up until bandits had attacked me.

Still need the "This is the end" achievement myself. If anyone knows how to get it; do tell.

I've lost several times to raiders. Does it have to be a certain type of raiders, like the ones you can use Bug Spray on?

Nope. You simply let the raiders that relentlessly attempt to raid your shelter kill you & end your journey to survival. It's more effective when you have less family members. :)

The raiders have never killed any of my family members. They always kidnap. Even if it is my last family member. And I don't get the achievement when they abduct the last one.

I'm starting to think the achievement has become bugged during the latest patches. My friend is also having problems with this achievement.

But I'll keep trying. Thanks for pointing out how to get it. :)

Hmm, that's strange. I might check it out when I once again attempt to acquire the Liberation achievement. But the achievement is one of the simplest in the game. Pretty sure it takes a bit of common sense.

Anyways, good luck on completing the game. Do your best. :)

Thank you, it wouldn't occur to me to try it this way. I'll do now, hopefully well get this troll achievement already.

Haiken and what difficulty is the best to achieve that achievement ?

rescue possibillity = 0, zero, nothing

same scenario happened 3 more times . . . this is incredible . . .

now i got 15 + possibilities to attack bandits BUT they never attecked me so no one is kidnapped

Timmy had been captured when expedition.
First "Payback Time" event, I choose rifle and win the battle, but nothing back.
Bandit of raiders attack shelter, I let them in and Mary Jane got kidnapped.
Second "Payback Time" event, same with the first time.
Ted was crazy and left the shelter.
Thrid "Payback Time" event, I choose axe because my rifle had damaged, and got Mary Jane back!

I don't understand. How do you guys get the payback event in the first place? For me it happens once in like ten or so games and I don't see any logic in its appearance. Do you have to do (or not do) something specific for it to start to pop up?
