Cards randomly changing

Sometimes the attack or skill cards randomly become heroic type with a heroism cost of zero. Is there an explanation for this? Because it pisses me off when I draw a card and expect it to give me heroism but instead it gives zero.

So to clarify, you're saying that cards that normally are normal cards are turning into heroic?
is this happening with a specific hero or in general?

It happens with any hero. For example, a skill card like Tactician or Hellmouth normally provides +2 heroism. But then sometimes when drawn, that card has a heroism cost of zero instead of providing the normal +2.

Have you applied the "free" (I think, not playing in English) upgrade to the cards, the green part of the card's description? As I recall, with this upgrade the card no longer costs 1 action point, but you can't earn heroism either, probably for balancing purposes.

No, I haven't applied free to them. They are not presenting as attack/skill cards with a heroism gain of +0. They are changing so they have the heroism cost of zero in the top corner.

If I'm understanding correctly I don't think I ever saw that happen in 100+ hours. You're not using any game mods or anything?

I think I've seen this. What I know to be an Attack card shows as a Heroic. I have added Bad Mods Begone (it's my second playthough so I'm using a few mods) but I can't recall if this only happened after adding that.

I've never seen or heard of this either. Definitely sounds like a mod is causing it, or there's a really weird bug/corrupted file causing something to go haywire. I'd recommend verifying the game files at the very least if mods aren't involved.

Visual bug. Cards works fine. It happens to me and yes it is annoying.
