Can't load saves
So, this has happened before. I was unable to load a game because of the two folders in the directory and stuff. Fixed it then and it worked fine.
Fast forward to now, and nothing is working to fix it. I copied the save game folder from one place to the other and it's still not working. I reinstalled the game - nothing. I verified the game files - nothing. I restarted my computer after install - nothing.
I have no idea why it won't work now. Is it because I hadn't played in like a year? When I loaded the game up, I got some popup about legacy files and I clicked "Yes". Did that just screw everything up? I can still see all the old manual saves and stuff.
I'm at a loss and would really appreciate some help.

So you can see the save files you've made in the game's interface but can't select them? Or you can select them but not load them?

Or is it that when you launch the Load Game interface there are no save files displayed to select?

I'm afraid I don't recall hearing of any of the above before so I'm not sure what to suggest to fix things. In case someone who does reads this thread I think clarifying what the situation is would be useful.

There's an apparent bug with save files since the game launched. If you go into the game files and locate your saves, there's two folders and the fix for being able to load your game was to copy the save files from one folder to the other.
When I launch the game, I can't click the load button. But when I go into the game files and locate my save, I can see all the manual saves I've made as well as the auto save that's there.

Ah, thanks. And this time copying the saves from
My Games\Marvel's Midnight Suns\Saved_Steam_####\SaveGames
to
My Games\Marvel's Midnight Suns\Saved
Didn't work.

Not sure if your AV does ransomware protection but the Documents folder would be one it would protect. Not sure if setting an exception in your AV would even help, loading is reading the save files not writing them, which is what ransomware protection would stop.

Maybe copy all the *.sav files somewhere, delete the whole My Games\Marvel's Midnight Suns folder, restart the game to rebuild, then copy the save files back to where they should be.

Unfortunately, that didn't work.
But I managed to fix it! Out of curiosity, I right clicked on the Marvel's Midnight Suns folder and checked for previous versions. There was one from a couple days ago (when the game wasn't installed) and I restored it. When I restarted the game, I got that "Legacy save" popup again and this time I hit the "Skip" button. At the main menu, I could load my game!
I appreciate your help! Thank you!

Cool. I don't think I did much but you got it working. Enjoy the game.
